I’m pretty sure that song will be stuck in my head until the rest of time. I’m teaching it to my kiddos to help them remember the parts of an insect.  All day today during exploration stations all I heard was various choruses of “head, thorax, abdomen (abdomen)… mumble mumble mumble… three body parts… head thorax, abdomen (abdomen)”

My PD came today to observe me. I’m on track to make significant gains this year – this means that my kiddies will have over 80% mastery. This isn’t something that most first year corps members do. I’m gonna do it, and I won’t be satisfied until I do. She talked to my babies and, I’m not gonna lie, I’m pretty impressed with what they told her about what we’re learning and why it’s important (so we can be smart and super scientists). Needless to say (is that even a phrase/proper English/make sense), I love my job and love what I’m doing. My kids are making significant strides and just blow me away and make me so proud on a daily basis.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner. I don’t really know if I can get in the christmas/wintery spirit without some snow. Granted, it’s flurried a couple of times, but I want real, actual accumulation.  All weather reports are indicating it’s going to be a “rough” winter. I’ll believe it when I see it.

half a teaching day left until thanksgiving break!
then a 5 day weekend of relaxing, family, and a little work (grad school doesn’t believe in thanksgiving break)
